The 12 contestants taking part in next Saturday’s Miss Seychelles … Another World beauty pageant displayed a high level of artistic skills through dances, singing and other performing arts during their Miss Seychelles Talent Show last weekend.

A panel of jury comprising arts, culture and dance instructors, radio programme producers on arts and music and media columnists writing on arts and culture assessed the 12 contestants during a half-day judging session.

The panel of jury looked at stage performance, costumes, talent presentations, personality during performance, originality and creativity and overall performance.

Each contestant received ratings on stage appearances while presenting themselves neatly and clean in character with confidence, personality and originality.

The use of the appropriate costumes contributing to their performance and presentation of their talent was focused upon by the judges.

The contestants’ overall ability to perform and to present an original artistic expression that draws a positive response from the audience made up of family and friends, STB officials, groomers and the organisers was another criteria looked out for by the judges.
