Thumbs up for the twelve finalists of the Miss Seychelles… another world pageant

The Seychelles Tourism Board Deputy Chief Executive Officer congratulated the twelve contestants who made it to the finals of the Miss Seychelles.. another world pageant to be held on the 26th of May 2012.

Meeting with the contestants at the International Conference Center in the presence of the Miss Seychelles organizing committee members, Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt thanked them for their bravery to come forward and enroll in the pageant. “The twelve finalists are now officially representing the Seychelles Tourism Board and throughout the weeks preceding the finals they should portray the good image required of them as contestants of the Miss Seychelles .... another world pageant.”

Mrs. Grandcourt pointed out to the contestants that this is the start of an exciting journey which will open doors of opportunities for them. Her message to the contestants was crystal clear '' be supportive, united, maintain the team spirit, so that as a group you all make it to the finals.” During the induction the twelve contestants of the Miss Seychelles... another world pageant: Christina Fondamière, Corrine Roucou, Diana Marie, Isabel Lavigne, Mathilda Chetty, Natasha Robinson, Petra Morel, Shanice Hoareau, Sherlyn Furneau, Stephanie Ernesta, Vanesa Adam and Vicky Cupidon have expressed mixed feelings at being selected for the pageant. Nevertheless, they are proud and privileged to be representing the Seychelles Tourism Board and their country.

Contestants have unanimously agreed that the confidence they portrayed in the audition played much in their favour in taking them through to the finals. One of the contestants outlined that ‘‘all the girls in the audition were beautiful and all of them are winners.” She added that even though the group of 28 girls had to be trimmed down, she is proud to be one of the finalists''. Mrs. Marie France Macgregor, one of the committee members, told the contestants '' that they should bear in mind that they are all special and the pageant is a good opportunity for them to shine.”

As of the 4th of February, the twelve contestants will be following a series of training sessions to prepare them for the final. It is to be noted that as part of her winning package, the winning beauty queen will represent Seychelles in the Miss World Beauty pageant to be held in August, in China.
